About the Council for Homeopathic Certification

In 1991, the Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC) conceptualized a new vision for the future of homeopathy as a unified profession of highly trained and certified practitioners. The CHC is an independent certifying organization, offering board certification in classical homeopathy to practitioners from all over the world. These practitioners come from all backgrounds with a common goal of creating one meaningful   homeopathic practice standard.

The CHC was established as a non-profit organization in 1992 to support homeopathic professionals and to empower homeopaths to show a true gauge of their knowledge, abilities, and competence in the homeopathic profession through our rigorous certification process.

More than 1,000 trained homeopaths have been certified by the CHC providing health consumers and referring health care proessionals a directory of practitioners who uphold the CHC's national standard of excellence.

Applicants for certification include both medically licensed health care providers and professional homeopaths, uniting and defining the profession and advancing homeopathy into the mainstream of health care.

Our Vision

We envision a healthcare system that encompasses certified classical homeopathic practitioners to be accessible to all.

Our Mission

To advance the homeopathic profession by certifying individuals who meet and maintain a recognized standard of professional and ethical competence in classical homeopathy and to assist the general public in choosing appropriately qualified homeopaths.
